Just in time for the holiday season
It’s been a long time coming — our Feminist Food Journal merch store is finally here! Take FFJ from computer screen to real life with our oyster t-shirt, NSFW lemon stickers, FFJ-brand aprons, two-faced totes, bold posters, tomato hats, and more.

It’s pop fashion, with substance: each item features an original illustration that relates to a story about gender, power, and food that we’ve told on FFJ. The product description will tell you which.
Investing in FFJ merch means that you’re supporting independent feminist media. Since we choose not to paywall most of our content, we know that digital subscriptions can be a tough sell; getting some merch is a great way to uplift FFJ through another avenue, and our store makes it clear how much of each sale goes toward helping us grow. We’d love it if you would consider us for some of your holiday shopping this year (and after that, for birthdays, “just because” occasions, anniversaries, and maybe even…weddings?).
Some specifics about the store
Those of you who have been following us for a while will remember that in previous years, we’ve offered limited-edition, hand-printed tote bags around the holiday season. These made up an important part of our annual sales, and we took great joy in printing and packing everything by hand, but this year we’re trying something new.
To offer a greater variety of products, ease the burden of labour on us two editors, and prevent wasteful overproduction, we’ve decided to work with a fulfilment partner on a print-on-demand basis. This means that only when you place an order is each item printed especially for you, at the fulfilment location nearest to where you’d like it delivered. All merch has been tested and touched (repeatedly — we couldn’t stop saying to each other, “This t-shirt is so soft???”) by us editors, and we’re truly thrilled with the quality.
Get your holiday orders in early
It feels early to start talking about the holiday season, but the gift guides that have started trickling into our inboxes suggest otherwise and we know that December will come and go in a flash (like it always does). Accordingly, be sure to get your orders in early to avoid disappointment. You can find the holiday order deadlines here.

Who are we kidding? We’ve never been able to keep a secret — we’re working on a print edition of the magazine, featuring highlights from our first four issues! We'll be in touch again to let you know when it’s ready.
